Setting Up your own Email Server to Send out Pitches from PitchLink
You can use your own email server to send out pitches and other mails from Pitch.Link.
This means all mails such as Pitchlinks and Testimonial requests will be sent using your own mail server instead of using Pitchlink's mail server.
Click Company Profile.
Click Email Server.
Enter the server details of your email server.
Enter the port number.
Enter the username you use to log in to your mail server.
Enter the password you use to log in to your mail server.
Enter a default "From" address that is shown on emails sent by you.
Ensure that the Mail Server is enabled.
Click Save Changes.
From now on, mails swill be sent out using your mail server.
Setting up Google Mail Server as your Mail Server to send out Pitches from PitchLink
To send pitches using your Google Workspace Account, configure your Google mail server for sending mails from the PitchLink platform.
Log in to your Google Workspace account at https://admin.google.com
Click on Apps.
Click Gmail.
Scroll down till you see "Routing".
Click on "Routing".
Scroll down till you see "SMTP Relay Service".
Click "Configure".
You must enter a Description for the new Service that you are configuring.
For the criterion "Allowed Senders", Select "Only Addresses in My Domains".
For the criterion "Authentication", check the box for "only accept mail from the specified IP Addresses".
To add the IP address from which mail will be accepted, Click "Add".
Enter a Description.
Enter The IP Address 35.164.232.253
Make sure that "Enable" is checked.
Click "Save".
Click "Save" again.
Now you must configure the PitchLink platform to use the Google server.
Log in to your PitchLink Admin account at https://<your_domain_name>/pitch.link/admin.
Your domain name is the one you registered with when signing up on PitchLink.
Click on “Company Profile”.
Click Email Server.
For Host, enter “ssl://smtp-relay.gmail.com”.
For Port enter 465.
Leave the username and password blank.
Under “The default "From" email address”, enter an email ID with the domain that you have on your Google Workspace. Typically, it would be something like "do-not-reply at your domain name dot com".
Make sure that "Is Enabled" is toggled on.
Click “Save Changes”.
You are now set up to send out Pitches through your Google mail server.
