Testimonials add credibility. Pitchlink makes it easy to request and collect video testimonials from existing customers. You can send requests to customers to record a testimonial for your product or service on your behalf through the Testimonial tool. You write a script that you think captures the customers' views about your product or organization, which they can use for recording the testimonial. This script is sent out through a request from the PitchLink platform. The customer receives the request by mail as a link. When they click the link a testimonial recording tool opens, with the script available for use during recording. They can, of course, edit and change the script in any way they wish. They can record the testimonial using their webcam, while the built-in teleprompter rolls the script for them to read. The recorded testimonial is automatically stored in the seller's content folder, and he is notified that it has been recorded. The seller can now use the testimonial in their pitches.

To send the request for the testimonial,
Click Content.
Click Testimonials.
Click Request a Testimonial.
Click Add Recipient.
Add a recipient from your list of contacts.
Alternatively, you can also add a new contact from the page.
Click Done.
You can now write the content that you wish that your customer will record for you.
You can use a pre-made template provided on the system to start off your own customised script.
Edit the template to customize it.
If you wish to use it again later, click Save this script to save it as a template.
Enter a title for the script and click OK.
You can now write a mail requesting a testimonial.
Enter a subject for the mail.
Write the body of the mail.
Add a thank you note that will be shown to the recipient once they have recorded the testimonial.
Provide a filename that will be assigned to the recording, once your customer saves it.
Write a description.
Click "Send Testimonial Request"
A request is sent to the customer.



How the Customer Records a Testimonial





Note that this guide is for recording on the standalone Testimonial tool, which is based on the same facility on PitchLink. The only difference is that on the PitchLink tool, there is no option to provide a text-based testimonial.

So I received this request for a testimonial and I got a link which is here, which I clicked and this interface opens up.
This is what I have received as the customer who has been requested for his testimonial.
I have got the script which is there.
I can just click and I can change a few things.
Like I can change that to the to the supplier and I can put in the next line.
I can choose the various resolutions.
I choose 720p.
This is linked to whether the computer supports what it supports and so on.
I can also choose to do audio.
So there is no obviously no resolution to choose but the script remains or I can choose to send a text testimony.
Now I'll get back to the video.
But what happens when I say save testimonial here, there's no more recording.
So if in audio, you'll see start recording in video, start recording.
But in text it says save testimonial.
And if I click save testimonial, it shows me, do you want to add your photo to this testimonial?
And if I say yes, it shows me cropped frame and I can sort of take a four so I can use this image if I say that it automatically goes into uploading.
Now, you can see that I have uploaded my text testimonial and I can download it also if I want as the sender or basically, it will land up in my in the requester account.
So no, nothing else to be done.
Just hit upload and it's sent with audio video or text, it lands up in the box of the account of the vendor who had requested the testimony.
Right now I'll show you how to how the video testimonial piece works.
We choose whatever resolution we want whatever our computer supports.

So I can do multiple takes this looks OK to me, but I'll do one more.
This is just to show that the sender can do as many takes as they want.
And this is very unique, both the teleprompter and the ability to take multiple takes and review them and then choose the best shot is is only possible in this tool, getting testimonials from customers has always been a critical need, but it was cumbersome to get it done.

So we are targeting testimonials from customers as always I get immediate playback so I can check both my takes.
This is take two, I can say seven close and the moment I say seven close it says, are you sure you want to upload this recorded video?
Because note once uploaded, you will not be able to change or rerecord.
And I say, OK, and it starts uploading and as the upload happens, I will get to see a preview after a few minutes because it takes us a little bit of time for it to get processed.
And it will also parallel go to the person who has requested me for the endorsement So there it is, it will take a few minutes for this to appear, and I can download it for my reference.
So the endorser has a copy of what they're sending.
There is no confusion, there is no possibility of misunderstanding.

So I waited for about five minutes and, the video that I recorded earlier and sent off as an endorsement has now landed up in the sender's box.
